The total building square footage is 94,370 square feet and its height is 5 stories including a ground floor level below 23rd Avenue S. The ground floor level includes a dinning room, snack bar, medication room, nurses station, smoking lounge, beauty saloon, resident's lounge, TV/game room, staff lounge, arts and crafts room, a community conference center, public restrooms, out door patio, and parking garage. The ground floor is made of noncombustible construction and floors 1 through 4 is made of wood frame, type V, 1-hour construction, protected by a fire protection system.

Also included in the building design us a 2700 square feet of unfinished space, which is the future site of the "Toby Burton Wellness Center." The center will provide fitness services along with some primary care and physical therapy services for seniors who reside in the Cannon House. When completed, the Center may provide service to seniors in the community contingent upon the City's approval of necessary zonning changes.
